IT Protective Security Services Sdn Bhd (ITPSS) in partnership with The SANS Institute today hosted a double feature presentation on Securing The Human and Going Phishing? for representatives from government and private organizations, academia, and invited guests.

The talks were conducted by Mr Lance Spitzner, Training Director at the SANS Institute and an internationally recognized leader in the field of cyber threat research and security training and awareness. “A lot of people don’t know they are a target of cybercrimes, especially in a small country like Brunei, where everybody knows everybody. The problem is, when users here connect to the Internet, they are not in Brunei anymore; they are facing the world,” he said.

The SANS Institute is a cooperative information security research and education organisation from the USA. ITPSS has had a longstanding relationship with the SANS Institute, with many of its staff holding prestigious professional certifications from the institute, in fields such as Penetration Testing, Digital Forensics, Incident Handling and Awareness Programs.

The half-day event was hosted by ITPSS at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom of The Empire Hotel and Country Club.
