Some 17 senior citizens of the Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PKWE), Temburong District completed the Digital Skills Training programme yesterday. The three-day programme was organised by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI).

The programme, aimed to promote e-commerce adoption and digital literacy among the elder generation, was held at Multipurpose Hall of the Utama Bumiputera Complex in Bangar on February 10-12.

The Digital Skills Training session organised by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony on Thursday.

Community Development Department of Belait District Head of Branch and guest of honour Rafidah binti Hidup presented the certificates.

Nineteen senior citizens from the Senior Citizen Activity Centre (PKWE), Belait District and Bestari Community Centre (PMB) attended the programme.

Over 100 people participated in the Awasi Anak Kitani (AAK) Programme for Mukim Kota Batu and Mukim Kianggeh at the Mangrove Paradise Resort, Kampong Sungai Belukut, Jalan Kota Batu yesterday.

The programme was organised by the Information Department through the AAK Programme Committee for Mukim Kota Batu and Mukim Kianggeh in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)and IT Protective Security Services Sdn Bhd (ITPSS).

The Ministry of Education (MoE) and the IT Protective Security Services (ITPSS) Sdn Bhd organised a cybersecurity awareness talk at Awang Semaun Secondary School’s multipurpose hall yesterday.

The talk was to make students aware on cybercrime issues and educate them on how to avoid cybercrime and threats using the latest technologies.
